intimate whidbey island elopement
A Modern, Effortless Love Story by the Sea
Whidbey Island, with its windswept beaches and fields sea grass and flowers, provided the perfect setting for this modern elopement. The landscape’s natural textures and soft colors complemented the couple’s style, making for an effortlessly chic atmosphere. It is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph year round and makes for the most picturesque images. From cliff sides, to beach front - there is not limit to the beauty that we can create here together.
Fernanda’s dress was minimalist yet luxurious in silk, which flowed beautifully in the island breeze. Paired with a delicate bouquet that added just the right touch of color, her look was the epitome of modern bridal fashion. Dylan’s chic brown suit and Birkenstocks were a perfect blend of style and comfort, making a subtle statement that was both fashionable and personal.
From the couple’s quiet exchange of vows, to a first dance on the beach with their daughter, each moment was filled with a sense of love and connection. The gentle wind and perfect weather added a sense of movement and life to the photos, capturing the essence of their relationship in a way that was both natural and profound.
Their focus on simplicity, personal expression, and the natural beauty of their surroundings embodies a new kind of wedding aesthetic— one that prioritizes authenticity over tradition, giving an editorial and elegant visual to the day.
This Whidbey Island elopement was more than just a ceremony; it was a true celebration of love, family, and the beauty of the natural world. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the ones shared quietly, with the ones you love the most.

“Couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience than the one we had with you.”
I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience with you. It just couldn’t have been the same with anyone else and truthfully, I didn’t reach out to anyone else. We keep talking about how we’ve waited so long for this day and it felt really us. By the water, with Mila, all together as a family. It was a sweet time. Thank you for being there for us. We’re so grateful for you. You’re such a kind and talented human and we hope to be able to have you again! We could tell that your heart is really deeply rooted in your work. You have a really beautiful eye for all the small details that tie an image together. Just couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience than the one we had with you. Thank you, thank you!
